How it works

  1. Copy your TransIP Key pair. You'll find it in the settings of TransIP.
  2. Paste it into MCP Hosted. Stored encrypted. Your AI never sees it.
  3. Add the link to Claude. Sign in once and allow access. ChatGPT and Cursor work too.
  4. Just ask. Plain questions in, answers from TransIP out.

What MCP is, how your data is protected and what your AI can change.

Ask Claude, ChatGPT or another AI assistant about your TransIP account in plain language: which domains renew soon, what the DNS records of a domain are, whether a domain name is still free, whether a VPS is running and how busy it was, or which TransIP invoices are still open. Handy when you look after domains and servers for clients.

It cannot order, register, renew, transfer or cancel anything, and it cannot start, stop or reinstall a VPS: those tools do not exist. DNS records stay read-only until you tick Change DNS records for a connection. Our server then allows one record at a time, after a dry run, and never the nameservers or the whole zone. Until you tick it, we only ask TransIP for read-only tokens, so TransIP refuses changes as well.

No, but we recommend it. With the whitelist ticked, our server only asks TransIP for tokens that work from IP addresses on your whitelist, so a token that got out would be useless anywhere else. You add our IP address once, under My account and then API in the TransIP control panel.

No. The TransIP API is free with your account. Our server never orders anything, so it never creates a TransIP invoice.

Domains, DNS, VPSs, HA-IPs, colocations, email packages, invoices and prices. Web hosting is not in the TransIP REST API, so it is not covered.

Add one connection per TransIP account. Each gets its own MCP URL, so you can add them side by side to the same AI client.

TransIP allows 1000 API calls per 15 minutes for each account, shared with your own scripts. Our server lets each connection use at most 300 of them, so a busy AI cannot use them all up.

Only your username and the private key of your key pair, encrypted with AES-256. Domains, DNS records, VPSs and invoices are fetched live when your AI asks for them, passed straight on and never saved. We never share them with anyone, and no AI model trains on them. The key never appears in logs or in the answers your AI assistant receives, and neither do the transfer code of a domain, VNC access or mail passwords. When your AI changes a DNS record, we keep a log of that change for 90 days, so you can see what changed.
